Power of Attorney
A power of attorney is a legal document authorising a person to act on another person’s behalf during a specific occasion or for their lifetime. It allows a person to look after the finances of another person e.g. managing property, paying bills, buying things they want or need, collect income, invest money, sign contracts on their behalf. Particular events can end this power of attorney such as when the person giving the power cancels it or when they die.
